Wir über uns und über unseren Sport!
Es handelt sich um eine Breitensportart in der Sparte Turnen, bei der die Mannschaft und Ihre gemeinsame Leistung im Vordergrund steht. Wir betreiben diesen Sport in Wettkampfform und starten bei unterschiedlichen Veranstaltungen bis zu Deutschen Meisterschaften in unterschiedlichen Altersklassen. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen vielfältigen Wettkampf, bei dem die Mannschaften beim TGM in vier und beim TGW in drei Disziplinen starten. In beiden Wettkampfarten stellt sich eine Mannschaft dem Wettkampf aus den messbaren Herausforderungen Medizinball-Weitwurf, Orientierungslauf, Schwimmen und Staffellauf sowie aus den künstlerischen Disziplinen (oder nicht-messbaren) wie Tanzen, Turnen, Gymnastik mit Handgeräten und Singen zusammen. Für einen Laien mag die Zusammenstellung der Disziplinen des TurnerjugendGruppenWettkampfes oft etwas fremd oder gar unerklärlich, ja unverständlich klingen. Doch gerade diese Vielfalt von so konträr anmutenden Disziplinen stellt für unsere Gruppen bzw. uns Trainer und Betreuer die große Herausforderung dar.
Vielseitigkeit steht im Vordergrund: der Wechsel zwischen den musischen Disziplinen wie Turnen, Tanzen mit dem gefordertem Feingefühl für Rhythmus und der Umsetzung von Musik in Bewegung sowie die rein athletischen Disziplinen wie Laufen und Werfen, bei denen Schnelligkeit, Kraft, Ausdauer und sicherlich auch ausgefeilte Technik den Ausschlag geben. Aber nicht nur die Vielfalt der Disziplinen ist für uns Tungendorfer bedeutend. Für uns ist die Gemeinschaft wichtig, das Einfügen in eine Gruppe und gleichzeitig auch das Gefühl, von der Gruppe gebraucht zu werden. In unserer Sportart zählt weder die spezielle „Einzelleistung“ noch irgendein Rekorddenken, es zählt nur das Team.
